Exhibit Design

Children’s Museum of St. Tammany (CMST) is delighted to present the exhibit gallery concepts custom-designed by Argyle Design, Inc. for the children of St. Tammany Parish. (Click here for a closer look).

CMST contracted Brooklyn-based Argyle in 2014, after conducting a national search in the specialized field of museum exhibit design. Argyle has conceived exhibits for many museums, including the Children’s Museum of Houston, Boston Children’s Museum, the American Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Institution.

Since beginning the project, Argyle principals Cheryl Bartholow and Michael Joyce have made several trips to St. Tammany where they met one-on-one with students, parents, educators, CMST board and advisory board members, sponsors and others to help inform the vision of the museum galleries.

“We are so excited about sharing this major step forward in our development process,” remarked CMST Board of Trustees President Lisa Z. Barnett. “We invite the community to explore the museum floor plan and color renderings of each of the exhibit galleries—designs that are truly a reflection of the needs and wants of our community.”
